Ramon is a scientific, technical diving and rebreather instructor with degree in marine biology, aquatic ecology and Master studies in environmental engineering, who have been involved in recreational, commercial, and scientific positions in the diving and environmental community.
He started scuba diving in 1970 and technical and scientific diving in 1974 with the Oceanographic Institute of Venezuela when he began underwater marine research, scientific explorations, collecting biological and oceanography data. In 1975 began in commercial diving, search and rescue diving, and deep diving. In 1980 became scuba diving instructor and working in underwater environmental projects.
Ramón was certified as Scuba Diving Instructor by World Underwater Federation (CMAS) in 1980 and 3 star instructor trainer in 1982. As Technical Diving Instructor by International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers (IANTD) in 2006, he teaches advance open water, deep diving, advanced nitrox and trimix mixed gas diving,search and rescue diving, technical diving, closed circuit rebreathers Inspiration and evolution CCRs.
As a professional, Ramón has a vast experience in technical diving, scuba training, diving expeditions, caves and shipwrecks diving, deep diving with mixed gas closed circuit rebreathers, executive management, directing and coordinating underwater projects.
He has been working in environmental and scientific underwater projects, with experience in aquatic ecology, underwater environmental assessments, hydrology and oceanographic studies, commercial diving, underwater inspection, search and recovery, underwater photographer and videographer.
