Stingrays are flattened fish closely related to sharks. They have no bones in their body - their skeleton is made up of flexible cartilage the same as ears and nose in humans. #Scubamobile #facts #stingray #realdiving #reef #videoftheday #playadelcarmen #rivieramaya ... More

The eyes are situated on top of the head of the southern stingray, along with small openings called spiracles. The location of the spiracles enables the stingray to take in water whilst lying on the seabed, or when partially buried in sediment. Water enters the spiracles and leaves through the gill openings, bypassing the mouth which is on the underside. #southernstingray #stingraysunday #beautiful #scubadive #bonaire #bonairediving #divebonaire #diversparadise #rays #stingray #scubadiving #inbonaire #underwaterphotography #getolympus #olympustg5 #uwphotography #uwphoto #letsgodiving #divefriendsbonaire ...
