Rye Pier shore dive 12 June 2022 - Ocean Divers
Dive-127 126:59 hrs 2022-13 12:20 hrs
Buddies: Finn, Chris, Jeremy, Paul
A dull, cloudy, rainy day, with SW winds blowing. But vis was good, no current, no surge under water. Swam along under the pier, out to Elsa's Reef, then over to ER2. One octopus at ER2. Saw a school of salmon (probably) under the pier, lots of starfish, urchins, pufferfish, one nudi, toady's, striped wrasse - the usual. Couple of small banjo sharks and one tiny smooth ray. One live but not moving much spider crab, and several empty spider crabs, with the flowing goop coming out of them. Probably the same temperature above and below water - about 12 to 13 C. Then again, it is winter.
