Twins, Ko Tao, Gulf of Thailand, Thailand

A fun dive to end all fun dives. I have dived on Twins Pinnacle hundreds of times but never had the chance to explore the coast line that sits on Koh Nang Yuan. Today was that day. We had heard from other divers about a secret pinnacle hidden much further south from the usual dive site so we headed off dead south hoping to find something interesting. Lots of butterfly fish, unicorn fish and a whole school of yellow margin trigger fish passed by. It was interesting so far but then a blacktip shark past by in the distance. Excitement. And then another. And another. And another. Big ones, one at least two metres long. We stayed watching them swim past and buy us, just that little bit too far away to get any decent footage but it didn't matter as this was the first time in a long time that I'd seen sharks in Koh Tao. As we headed back to the boat I spotted a Lion's Mane Jelly stuck in the coral. Its tentacles had gotten trapped and sad to say it was a goner. I then noticed to fairly large remoras swimming around this jelly. My eyes then noticed that all this was happening on the back of a green turtle! Rather rare! What luck, what a find! I tried to film as much as possible while the turtle was relaxed and clearly a little too full from its jelly meal. It finally swam off with remoras in tow. I really didn't know what to expect from this alternate dive but I really could not recommend highly enough. Explore new frontiers!
