The game changing UN Ocean Conference in #NewYork opened with a Traditional Fijian Ceremony, the first of its kind to be performed on the floor of the #UN General Assembly! Fijian Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and Swedish Deputy PM Isabella Lövin were both elected Presidents of the Conference. #theoceanconference aims to set the course for the implementation of the UN's 14th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 14) to conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources. #MSAF has been heavily involved in preparations for the conference.
