the whaleshark is the largest fish in the ocean. Like other large animal (blue whales, elephant...) it is not a pretator. Whale sharks like most large whales are filter feeder, they use their gills to filter the water and feed on plankton. Whalesharks are slow swimmer so if you are fit and ready for the ride you will be able to follow one of them during there journey for few minutes.
