About Tugboat

This is one of Curacao’s most famous dive and snorkel sites. The Tugboat itself sits in just 12 feet / 3 meters of water and is absolutely teeming with marine life and corals, perfect for snorkelers as well as divers. There’s also a dramatic wall and an amazing pier ‘The Cathedral’ to explore. The fish are used to being hand-fed and come right up to you to grab lunch. Plenty to see, plenty of photo opps, great dive site, easy dive and perfect for non-divers too. Cool marine life spots are almost guaranteed - seahorses, frogfish and squid love this site as much as we do!

An idyllic wreck that has been on the bottom since the 70’s and is fully covered in coral and sponges and is the permanent home to a large group of glassy sweepers and other cool fish. Around the wreck we can find loads of yellow tail snappers and sergant majors who are being attracted by other snorkelers who like to feed the fish. When there is no ship present we’ll go for a swim under the pier aka the Cathedral. An amazing site with tons of orange cup corals and other colorful stuff.

"Good"

The site is great as a refresher or intro dive. The tugboat is very shallow so a popular site for snorkeling as well. The pier on the right is great for looking for small creatures. Have seen octopus and reef squids on several occasions. There are also sea horses to be found if you are patient.

"So-so"

The wreck was ok, visibility was just ok as well, didn't see too much stuff. I guess this ain't the right season.
