About Antilla Shipwreck
The most famous wreck in Aruba and probably even the Caribbean is the wreck of the Es.Antilla. This German ship has been scuttled by its own crew in 1940 to prevent it to fall in the hands off the Dutch marines. This ship lays on its port side and is resting in only 55 feet of water in a sand bed making this the perfect artificial reef for an abundance of marine life.

The Antilla Shipwreck is one of the Caribbean's largest shipwrecks, exceeded by only the 600-foot (180 m) cruise liners Bianca C and Antilles. The Antilla lies on its port side in Malmok Bay, Aruba in up to 60 feet (18 m) of water, but with a small part of its starboard side exposed above water.

What to Expect When Diving in Antilla Shipwreck
"nice but tourist spot"
massive wreck with thousands of fish. No current during the dive. be careful with boats driving by. I found this spot very impressive. also good for snorkeling.
Excellent wreck dive. Had not dived for a while but easily got back into it with this simple but cool dive. My buddy was Dutch and spoke zero English (nor I Dutch). He had trouble descending at first but figured it out. No wet suit for me and was perfectly comfortable even at 60 feet.
No.1 dive spot in Aruba. Great for practicing penetration skills.
