Laughing Bird Caye was designated a National Park in 1996 to protect the Laughing gulls that nest on the northern tip of the island as well as marine life around the island. Laughing Bird National Park sits on a unique reef system known as a FARO which is a reef built up like an atoll but inside a barrier reef lagoon. The protection status and good management of this reserve system enables for great sightings of commercially fished species such as lobsters and conch are generally excellent and almost guaranteed. This island is 12 miles southeast of Placencia and is approximately a 30 to 45 minute boat ride. This tour departs from Placencia at 8:30am and returns by 2:30pm.

Silk Cayes Marine Reserve was established a marine protected reserve in 2003 where it is located central part of Belize's Barrier Reef. The reserve contains some of the healthiest parts of the reef system due to its elevation and good water quality. The protection allows you to see tropical aquatic life and the rings of corals. It also have a great sight seeing of loggerhead, hawksbill turles plus great nurse sharks along with the sourthern stingray in that area. This island is 20 miles southeast of Placencia and is approximately a 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minute boat ride. This tour departs from Placencia at 8:30am and returns by 3:30pm.

This island is 28 miles north east of Placencia and is approximately a 1 hour to 15 minutes boat ride. This tour departs from Placencia at 7:30am and returns by 3:45pm.
