Cayman Eco Divers is a husband and wife team dedicated to saving the coral reefs in Grand Cayman. Learn to dive with our experienced staff, or let us lead you on a new adventure every day as we explore our amazing coral reefs. Eco Divers has implemented a comprehensive coral restoration program and has created options for everyone to join us and participate in regenerating our local reefs. Even experienced divers can earn new certifications or distinctive specialties while they are here with our easygoing and informative style of teaching.
Dive with friends who understand the importance of keeping groups small when boat diving. Nothing can overwhelm a dive faster than twenty divers piling into the water behind you after you traveled half way around the world. Our Thirty foot boat can hold up to sixteen guests, but we limit our groups to no more than eight at a time unless specially requested.
Coral conservation is a daily focus for Eco Divers and we encourage any of our guests to participate in our frequent PADI Coral Restoration DIver distinctive specialty courses. Afterwards, you are able to experience our coral nurseries up close and personal. We even have a series of Advanced courses aimed at citizen scientists interested in focusing fully on our restoration program. One to six week packages are available with special rates that cover training, equipment, transportation to all activities and even LODGING! All our guests have to pay for is their airfare, souvenirs and their food while they visit us. Please refer to our packages for more details about our citizen scientist packages.
So please, come for an afternoon, a week or a month. We welcome everyone from seasoned divers to those who have never even seen SCUBA gear before. Our guests have ranged from ages 10 to 84. Grand Cayman Eco Divers is a husband and wife team dedicated to saving the coral reefs around Grand Cayman. Together, these Eco Divers are focused on training new and experienced divers about our amazing underwater world. With Grand Cayman Eco Divers you can make a difference with your time by saving the environment, exploring the underwater world, and best of all having fun!
Many guests arrive to explore our amazing crystal clear waters and with over twenty years of experience, our staff can guide you, your family and your friends to some of the most amazing sites unknown to many and unexplored by most. Let our experienced crew handle the heavy lifting while you enjoy your vacation. Pick up services are available for guests staying on island at one of the Seven Mile Beach Resorts. Our boat can hold up to 16, but we limit groups to 8 divers unless specifically requested otherwise. Let us take you diving in style and comfort.
Participants that decide to join our citizen scientist program can obtain valuable experience in fields including biology, environmental ecology, marketing, teaching and management. Grand Cayman Eco Divers has developed a series of offshore nursery and restoration policies to preserve the unique genetic lineage of staghorn and elkhorn coral here in the Cayman Islands. The Eco Diver team continues to collaborate closely with other organizations to further develop strategies for restoring threatened species of corals. As an citizen scientist, you will be working towards increasing your SCUBA certification while helping restore the local coral reefs around the Cayman Islands. College credits are available for some portions of our program!
Grand Cayman Eco Divers offers up to a six week citizen scientist package. Each program covers training, equipment, transportation and even lodging! Our curriculum focuses on teaching, conservation, community outreach, team building and instilling confidence in oneself to contribute confidently.
