Best Scuba Diving Blogs to Follow in 2020

Our scuba diving community is spread all over the world, filled with fun and interesting stories from divers of all ages and skill levels. Here at Deepblu, we love sharing stories from our divers, and creating engaging content for our readers. Blogs have become huge during the last few years and are now read more than some mainstream publications!

The internet is kinda like the ocean, it is so immense that you can easily get lost. So how do you know where to find quality content on scuba diving, snorkeling, snorkeling, marine biology or diving trips? Obviously, there are so many diving blogs available for you to explore, but some may not really bring any value or reliable information. Some may even be outdated, and not up-to-date with the latest info. That is why we have compiled a list of the best scuba dive blogs (besides us!) to follow in 2020.

We have included a little bit of everything, for everyone. Feel free to browse each one and find a blog that speaks to your dive loving soul!

Girls That Scuba

Girls That Scuba is a publication created by girls, for girls. Their mission is to encourage, educate and introduce more and more women to scuba diving while empowering the ones among us that are already addicted.

Girls That Scuba was founded by Sarah Richard, a full-time digital nomad, Divemaster and travel blogger, after she worked on a Liveaboard in Micronesia and was the only female diver on the staff.  What started as a way for her to make new female dive friends,  quickly became the largest online community of female divers.

The blog includes dive gear reviews, dive destinations, stories from inspiring female divers, and more. Now, the blog has grown to also include a Facebook group, as well as merchandise. So if you’re looking for a community of females to share your love of diving with, then this blog may be a great one for you!

Simply Scuba

This great scuba diving blog not only updates their site with new content to keep it fresh, they also have a YouTube channel!  Simply Scuba was a UK based blog that was born with a love of the ocean in a small barn in Kent. Since then, they have grown into a global Scuba store that prides itself on selling quality products and providing the right advice to their customers.

Besides a blog, they also run a fully stocked dive gear store. From BCD’s and regulators, to dive cameras, fins, masks and wetsuits, they stock everything you need to take to the water. Whether you’re a professional diver or just getting started, you can trust their selection of products and prices. Stocking the brands you love like Mares, Suunto, Scubapro and Cressi, they always have the latest gear and equipment on their shelves, ready to ship.

Simply Scuba understands that choosing the right product to suit you isn’t always easy, so that’s why they have created their very own comparison charts. You can easily identify the right piece of kit for you with this simple to use chart which outlines all the features of the products you want to compare.

Check out their awesome Youtube channel for dive gear reviews, interested stories, dive destination tips, and more!

Did you know that one of the most reliable dive companies out there also has a blog? PADI is the world’s leading scuba diver training organization.

With more than 6,600 PADI Dive Centers and Resorts, and 137,000 individual PADI Professionals who have issued more than 27 million certifications around the world, you’ll find PADI diver courses and scuba diving services nearly everywhere.

On their blog, you will find an extensive library of articles and videos relating to everything diving. The great thing about the PADI blog is that it is written by experts in the field, so you know you are getting reliable information straight from the pros themselves.

Recently, PADI has introduced a ‘How To’ series featuring helpful tips on mask clearing, equalizing, regulator recovery and more as you discover the underwater world. If you’ve just started the PADI Open Water Diver course, or simply haven’t been in the water for some time, they’ve got you covered with a full visual breakdown on how to perfect these skills so you feel the most comfortable in the water.
