Dive Trip
Tip and advise
Hello Everybody, I am new to Deepblu but it seems immediately a great community, I am really really hoping to get some solid advise here, I am planning to visit Borneo and dive in Sipadan in October, I have contacted a number of places and it seems that I must book the dives in advance. I really don't wanna arrive there at the last moment and have a bad surprise, do you have any advise at all in terms of who should I dive with and trust that I can book and pay in advance without last minutes bad surprises? I am forever thankful to anybody who can help me :)

Hey guys, whazzappp. I'm new here in the community, but glad to see a nice looking platform for divers! Anyway, just wanna share something. I know we are being troubled with all of those GHOST NET floating all over our water, destroying corals and our beloved sharks and turtle :(
Been hearing all ideas and action, but the issue will not be solved, because we keep on pushing the government agencies to do it for us.
I got a drastic Idea, practical, but still just an idea, and you guys can give encouraging idea or recommendation based on my idea.
1st. Since those GHOST NET float and end up ,lying down or stuck on the coral, (Rarely wash up to the shore without damaging all the corals along the way), I was thinking of creating an underwater 'pole' system that is water-friendly, fish friendly, coral friendly and of course human friendly as well. Basically, it's a long pole that being sunk with a sinker that will act as a '1st defense' against the floating net. Not just 1 pole, maybe few, as long as it's sturdy, standing up, so the net will get caught at the pole instead of going to the coral directly.
Using steel would be a bad idea since it will corrode really fast, any idea of good underwater and cheap material? We can even use flexible pole (like those aircraft carrier use to 'catch' the aircraft for landing)... More
